PLIB staff is very active in many wood industry groups that deal with everything from manufacturing and technical standards to regulations, grading rules, building codes, international market development, and many others. American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), Canadian Lumber Standards Committee (CLSAB), National Lumber Grading Authority (NLGA), ASTM, Softwood Export Council (SEC), American Wood Council (AWC), Canadian Wood Council (CWC), National Wooden Pallet and Container Association (NWPCA), Western Pallet Association (WPA), NAWLA, ANSI, ISO are some of the groups we work with. The list goes on, and the acronyms are seemingly endless! By actively participating in these groups, PLIB staff gives a voice to PLIB members and subscribers and influences product standards and marketing efforts.
