PLIB District Supervisor John Hamilton and I attended the 2025 Sierra Pacific Industries Open House at Sierra Pacific’s headquarters in Anderson, CA on September 25. As part of the open house activities offered by SPI, we toured Sierra Pacific Windows Red Bluff facility with a group of approximately 20 other industry representatives. We thank Sierra Pacific and their staff for granting us start to finish access to the fascinating process that goes into making the beautiful windows and doors that bear the Sierra Pacific brand. There are so many details and steps that go into making these high-quality windows and each one requires dedicated employees with specialized skills. We found the powder coating process and the curtain wall manufacturing process to be particularly impressive. Following the Red Bluff Window tour, we were treated to a reception at the Anderson headquarters where hundreds from the industry including salespeople, wholesalers, vendors, association representatives and staff gathered to feast on a scrumptious buffet under the beautiful evening sky. It was a special treat to see the welcoming remarks delivered by Sierra Pacific Industries founder, Red Emmerson, and son Mark and spend time visiting with George Emmerson. This event is always a great place to connect with colleagues in an informal and beautiful setting. Thank you Sierra Pacific – we look forward to next year’s Open House.
