Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau members welcomed 10 new member mills, five new dry kiln/heat treating facilities, and eight new wood packaging subscribers, to its membership and subscriber rosters through the first three quarters of 2020. The new members and subscribers are located in North America and Europe. The new member mills, shown below, will be voting members of the Bureau once approved by the PLIB Board of Directors.

PLIB President, Jeff Fantozzi, summed up the importance of these new members and subscribers to the organization. “The addition of these new members and subscribers demonstrates the respect the merged organization carries with lumber producers worldwide. Our organization has worked diligently since the merger of PLIB, WCLIB and AITC in 2019 to improve our services and communication with our members and we are beginning to see the fruits of our staffs’ efforts. On behalf of the PLIB members, board, and staff, I want to thank these new members for their support. PLIB has been providing inspection services for over 100 years. We are proud of our members and the relationships we have developed in our industry over the past century.”
PLIB is accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee (ALSC), the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board (CLSAB) and the International Accreditation Service (IAS) to provide inspection services in North America and Europe for dimension lumber, machine-graded (MSR), and glued lumber as well as glulam, CLT and metal plate connected wood trusses, European Union “CE” marked lumber, Heat Treated (HT) lumber and IPPC labeled wood packaging. The Bureau employs an experienced field inspection staff that is highly respected for its integrity and quality control supervision. It provides services to over 350 members and subscribers worldwide.
