Last month, Ben Haynes and Vincent Remer travelled to Atlanta to represent PLIB and our members at the most recent meeting the in-person ASTM D07 committee meetings. PLIB staff is actively involved in developing industry relevant standards. The meetings, held bi-annually, are a great opportunity for us to engage in discussions with industry representatives, members, and dear colleagues and help to support the wood and timber industry. Some of the latest standards being reviewed by the committee include ASTM D1990, the foundation of our current lumber design values, and ASTM D3737, which provides basic guidance for the glulam industry.
