PLIB’s Technical Director, Vincent Remer, is on the ground at World Timber Conference on Engineering 2025 in Brisbane, Australia.
Vincent is connecting with industry and regulatory representatives from North America, Europe, and Australia to better understand the regulatory landscape, technical requirements, and opportunities for North American lumber in international markets. The conference will advance PLIB’s knowledge on a range of international technical topics and expand PLIB’s extensive worldwide network.

We’re also proud to see research we support featured on the global stage. Dr. Lech Muszynski and graduate researcher Michelle Jayawickrama of Oregon State University’s College of Forestry are presenting findings on the structural properties of lumber from small-diameter Lodgepole pine – an important contribution to the conversation around resource-efficient timber products.
PLIB’s participation in this international technical conference is made possible through our membership in the Softwood Export Council and FAS funding support.
